Canines may bite out of fear. The best way to solve this is to allow the dog to socialize. Owners should let their canines mingle with other dogs. But this has to be done slowly. Putting the dogs on leashes will help keep them more under control. Soon, your pet will be accustomed in mingling with other canines and people and this will eliminate the biting.

There are also dogs that bite not because they are afraid but because they want to be the boss. In this case, owners can use muzzles to prevent the dogs biting. In this way, the canine will know that biting is not good. To strengthen the training, owners can use verbal commands to teach the dog not to bite.

Sometimes, the dog bites because it is just overly excited. To avoid these dogs from biting, owners should also avoid playing games that would increase the dog’s excitement. Observing the dog while playing will help in this program. If the dog begins to be excited or aggressive during the game, quickly stop playing.

In some cases, owners are not able to eliminate the dog’s behavior of biting. But it is not the time to give up. When the dog still continues to bite even after a long training, the best thing to do is to educate and inform the people around. If the dog will have close contacts with humans or other animals, restrain the dog with leash and if possible, put a muzzle on.

Similar to any other training programs, it is essential to give rewards and avoid punishments.

Owners should be persistent in the training. In the long run, owners will benefit the most in this activity.
